The Basics of Receiving Fractora Treatments

Fractora is a form of skin resurfacing and subdermal tissue thickening device that bridges the gap between fractional lasers and surgical procedures. It utilizes bipolar radiofrequency needles that are inserted into the skin. It’s the only device on the market that combines minimal or deep ablation, coagulation, and sub-epidermal heating of the entire dermis.

Complete skin rejuvenation tightening, superficial pigments, and vascular lesions are to name a few of the areas that Fractora covers. There is little to no downtime after the procedure, and areas besides the face that can be treated include the hands, chest, thighs, and navel stretch marks. The pins target a specific area; the treatment cannot be performed any more profound or broader than the machine has intended.

Applicators

There are several tips to consider using for this machine that can be changed out depending on the preference of the physician performing the procedure.

First, there’s a 60-pin tip that inserts 600µ for medium density, mid-dermal heating that’s useful for fine wrinkles, enlarged pores, facial pigmentation, and facial vessels. A laser from the radio frequency goes into the skin and heats the pores on the outside to remodel the collagen around the pores and surrounding scars.

The 126-pin tip also inserts 600µ for high density, superficial fractional ablation. It’s used primarily for texture, enlarges pores, and pigmentation.

24-pin tips

  • Coated – Covered with a silicone sheeting that doesn’t have any radio frequency to prevent interaction with the epidermis. Above else, the best area for use is on darker skin, skin tightening, and cystic acne scars.
  • Non-coated – Full thickness ablation down to 3000µ, deep dermal heating, and cuts through the epidermis. This tip works best on deep wrinkles, skin tightening, and acne scars.
